Bolt lives in your brain and keeps you safe. He barks when something feels scary or surprising. When Bolt barks a LOT, your tummy might feel tight, your heart beats fast, and you might want to run or hide. That's okay! Bolt is just trying to help.
Bolt's colors: 🔴 Red (very loud Bolt) · 🔵 Blue (quiet, sad Bolt) · 🟡 Yellow (wiggly, excited Bolt)

Nova lives in your Thinking Tree. He wears golden Thinking Goggles and loves to solve problems. When Bolt is very loud, Nova has trouble thinking. Our job is to help Nova hear!

When Bolt is calm and Nova can think, a shimmery golden light flows through the forest. That's the Golden Hum — your special calm feeling! We can make the Golden Hum glow with breathing, humming, and moving our bodies.

- Breathe IN slowly — count 1, 2, 3, 4 — squeeze tight!
- Hold for 2 counts
- Breathe OUT for 4 counts — slowly release the hug
- Do this 3 times. Notice how Bolt gets quieter!

Close your eyes. Breathe in. When you breathe out, make a humming sound — mmmmmm — like a bee! The vibration tickles your nose and helps your brain feel calm. Try it 5 times!
